As you’ve probably gathered from a previous post on kale, I love the stuff! The following is a very easy and delicious snack idea for kale chips – I am sure you’ve seen hundreds of photos of the like floating around the internet recently, I encourage you to give these a go!
Ingredient
1 Big Bunch of Organic Kale (preferably curly for extra crunch)
1/3 Cup of Nutritional Yeast (you can find this in most health food stores)
1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
1 Tblsp Paprika
1 Tsp Cayenne Pepper (use less or omit if you don’t like heat)
1 Tsp Sumac Powder (optional)
3 Tblsps Olive Oil
Generous Pinch of Sea Salt
Pinch of Pepper
Method
1. Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees C
2. Mix seasoning and spices in a bowl with oil until completely combined
3. Massage and generously coat kale leaves with mixture, then place on a baking tray
4. Turn oven down to 120 degrees C, placing kale leaves into the oven to bake for roughly 20 minutes. Turn them over halfway through so they crisp on both sides, and keep an eye on them so they don’t burn, every oven is different!
